Ideas To Reuse, Recycle Suitcases For Craft Storage

Old, vintage suitcases are beautiful and can be a great idea for craft storage. Especially if you don't have a lot of space as I do in my apartment. I found some awesome faux crocodile? silver suitcases in a discount store and love the fact that I can leave them out in the open. I use them to store my spools of ribbon (of which I have too many lol)

Duct Tape Notebooks and Other Projects

I got some designer the other day to pretty up my packages that I mail out. (I saw a tutorial on how to make fabric tape for this but I was feeling a bit lazy. lol) I love composition notebooks so I decided to look around and get ideas on covering them. I then came across other great projects using duct tape.

Use A Pegboard To Organize Your Craft Room & Supplies

I am a little obsessed with organization. Mainly because it is such a struggle for me to keep things neat and organized. I am a visual person and get a bit frustrated when I can't find something so I feel that I need to keep everything that I am working on in my eyesight. The example below is great because it keeps everything visual but also neat.

I have been thinking of using a pegboard for my stickers but didn't think that it would look right in the space that I am currently using as my craft space because it is so open. But I love the idea of framing the pegboard. I have a pretty frame that I am going to do this with. You can also find frames at thrift stores and garage sales really inexpensively.

Organizing Your Scrapbooking Stickers

I just had an a-ha moment (as Oprah would say). I was browsing the Internet on goodhousekeeping.com and came across the very simple and inexpensive way that I am now going to start storing my scrapbooking stickers. 

I don't have a lot of space now so a peg board with hooks was out of the question. I had tried putting them in sticker holders but that was too cumbersome (I hate digging through things). But the idea above was so easy!

I am off to Wal-Mart tomorrow to get me some 3 ring binders. I have some cute fabric from Hobby Lobby that I am going to cover it with (will post that project at a later date) and I am going to get subject dividers so that I can just flip through the notebook to find what I want.

I will probably put a little tape along the top of the stickers when putting them in the page protectors so that they stay in place and I can see at a glance what is in each protector without them crowding behind each other. Can't wait to get started on this!

Inexpensive Storage Idea: For Scrap Paper

I am always on the look out for cost-effective storage ideas as my craft room/office can get pretty out of control at time. Unfortunately, because storage is so hot these days (as we get more and more stuff that we don't need), anything labeled as being for storage can get pretty expensive.

Isn't it interesting that you can have the almost exact same product but depending on where they are located in the store, the price is different.

I found a great idea for storing scrap paper on Martha Stewart's website and thought that it was a great inexpensive solution to keeping your scrap papers neat and tidy.

It fits my storage personality perfectly as I don't really like digging in bins for stuff.
