Craft Room Inspiration: Organization and Decorating Ideas (5)

Whenever I see a beautifully decorated but yet still functional craft room I get so inspired. Probably because I am not nearly as organized as I would like to be. I wish I could say that I am someone who puts things away as I should, but alas I don't always do that. Maybe some day :).

Below are 5 ideas that you can use in your craft space right now.

1. DIY Showoff Really neat idea of converting an unneeded powder room into an office/ craft space. Lots of items from Ikea used. You could use the same idea for a closet.

2. Create your own art work for your room very inexpensively using magazine cutouts and other images. Source: Cross-eyed Christian.

3. Thrifty Chick Decor has a neat way to keep wrapping paper handy but out of the way by utilizing the top space on your shelf. I was keeping mine in a cute trash bin but this is a great way to keep them from getting damaged.

4. Doesn't this craft room shown on Little Miss Momma just make you happy. Who wouldn't want to craft in this space. Lesson learned: use bright colors to inspire creativity not to mention a good mood.

5. A Pop of Pretty craft room shows how coordinating colors and pattern can really bring a room together. One idea to take away from this is that she covered the bulletin board with a shower curtain.

DIY: Jewelry Storage

My jewelry collection is getting out of control so I went looking for some easy DIY projects to create my own jewelry storage. I found some great (and inexpensive) ideas.

ScrapMeBaby shows off her jewelry in a very eye-pleasing way. It looks like a display that would be in a department store.

Misanthropy Creations  uses utensil trays to create this look. Genius! Would be great as an alternative to the expensive customized storage options they have for jewelry. I am thinking about doing this in my closet the next place I move to.

This is a very pretty and neat way to store your jewelry. Source: Craftinspiration

Can you believe this display was made from items from The Dollar Store? Very inexpensive, but still stylish. That's my kind of storage :). Check out the video on how to make this on Dime on a dime website.

This is my favorite and I bought some push pins to try this out (I'll post pictures later in the week). I just have to get some more neutral fabric as I realized the fabric I got may contrast with some of my jewelry pieces. See the full examples on Honey We're Home blog.

Dollar Store Craft: Make a Mini Album

What a wonderful idea! You can also find lots of these type books at your local thrift store. This project was found on tipjunkie's website. Very inexpensive. You can put this little book together in little to no time. I am going to have to try this project out very soon.

Craft Room Storage Ideas: Inexpensively Store Your Scrapbooking Paper

This is a great alternative when you don't have a lot of room to store your paper. If you have a closet, then you have a way to store this paper. Or you could even hang from any vertical rod. I have used this method myself in the past. I used clothespins on a regular hanger instead of pants hangers. The only thing with this method is that it wouldn't hold very heavy packs of paper.

All you need for this is 2 gallon storage bags and pants hangers. The idea comes from Paper Lust website. Make sure you click over to see how wonderfully her craft room is decorated. Decorative Painting for a Nursery: Circus Themed

While looking for things to pin for my 'Baby' Pinterest Board I came across this wonderful video on potterybarnkids website. It looks like a pretty ambitious project (at least to me lol) but the results are well worth it. I am guaranteeing not many people will have this design in their kids room.
