Ahhh sisters. I don't have any (at least not biologically) but as far as I am concerned my godsisters, sister-in-laws, friends and close female cousins are my sisters :). I have recently created some too cute pages that are perfect for celebrating that sisterly love. (They are all available to buy now on my eBay page).
Came across this cute book that combines pictures of animals with quotes about sister :)
I am in desperate need of some lamp shades but I also need to get some on a budget :). I saw some in my local discount store but they look rather like they came from a discount store so I didn't purchase any at the time. I figured that there had to be some great DIY ideas that were quick and easy. Here are my top 5 choices. (Links at end) I love Mark Montano's tutorials. They are always easy to understand. This idea came from his Big Ass Book of Home Decor. Watch it below.
I love this Anthro inspired lampshade here. And can you believe it was made for less that $3.00!!!
Really cute shades here and I love the addition of the flowers.
These flowers on this lamp is made with coffee filters! Inexpensive idea that looks very elegant.
This would be perfect for a living room. Great way to get some of those pictures out of the scrapbook and put them on display.
I just created an awesome light switch and picture frame on my etsy shop that makes me wish that I had a teen so that I could decorate their room with them :). Funky, vibrant colors. Here are a few room ideas that go with these items perfectly.
I found these awesome ideas on how to make Minnie Mouse invitations, treat bags, and other decorations for your next Minnie Mouse themed party that you can do yourself!
Here's a little tip to clean the stickiness from your punches. I sell a lot of Mickey Mouse ear punches in my etsy shops (Patti's Paper Delights and Mouse Party House) so my punch can get pretty gunky. All you have to do is punch through some wax paper a couple of times and viola good as new :)
Okay I think I have found my favorite, so far, way of organizing my ribbon. I am a very visual person and hate hunting around for stuff and I will forget what I have if I am not looking at it often. Most of my supplies are in plastic bins or another favorite of mine - clear shoe hangers. All I did was put the ribbon onto a pants hanger. That is it! I plan on buying a few more of these for all of my ribbon. Next time I will take a moment to take the ribbon off of the spool and loop it over because I hate having to take off the spools. Plus, I will be able to put more ribbon on the hangers as the bars on this particular hanger is rather narrow. You may also like:
Old, vintage suitcases are beautiful and can be a great idea for craft storage. Especially if you don't have a lot of space as I do in my apartment. I found some awesome faux crocodile? silver suitcases in a discount store and love the fact that I can leave them out in the open. I use them to store my spools of ribbon (of which I have too many lol) Here are some other cool examples of how you can turn a suitcase into storage:
